Seabiscuit The Lost Documentary

Features: DVD

Rediscovered after over 60 years, this "lost" documentary is a piece of horse racing history. This original documentary was made in 1939 by Seabiscuits owner Charles Howard in honor of Seabiscuit winning Horse of the Year. It shows Seabiscuits birth, the early life at the stables, and one of Seabiscuits first races where he won $50 by coming in fourth. We get to see Charles Howard purchasing Seabiscuit after a claiming race, and trainer Tom Smith putting Seabiscuit through workouts. It chronicles a number of Seabiscuits races including the photo finish at the Santa Anita Handicap, and the legendary match race with War Admiral. Restored and in color for the first time, this is a fast-paced and exciting film.
